YEA!!!!! We're out!!!! Woke up, turned on the radio and heard everyone calling the bridgetender to see if the bridge was opening. All you heard was "thank the lord", "yea hoo", "we're free, we're free" and so the morning started by us all untieing as fast as possible in case the winds decide to pick up and close the bridge again. One by one we pulled out of our slips and took off for the bridge, yep, there it goes, it's opening and.........yes, we are free!!! the winds are about 12.2 mph and guess what, we put the sails up and are now a sailboat (under power). The news (when after how many stays at Wandas I found they had a TV room with Satellite TV) were calling this the Nor-Ida storm. It is very cloudy but light winds as we sail across the Alligator River through the Pungo River Canal and then across the Pemlico River. The trip was uneventful, we made good time and here we are at R. E. Mayo Co dock in Hobuckin, NC. We are going to eat our pot roast now that has been cooking all day in the slow cooker. Hope everyone in NJ and all my friends around the East Coast are safe and dry, hope that is all behind us all. Good night!
