Woke before the sun came up and took Skipper to shore for his walk. Beautiful day, pretty cold but the sunrise was spectacular. Back at the boat Mike tried to put the heater on but after cleaning all the filters he decided that the coils had frozen. Oh well, fix it at our next stop. It is sunny and much, much warmer the seas are calm and the sun is wondeful. Napped and read, finished "Alex's Trial" bu James Paterson. Stopped into Ocean City, MD for fuel and a Skipper walk at 5:45 PM. The night was long and dark but at least the water was like a mirror as we motored along (wind on the nose, of course). I sang and danced on my watch, don't know what Michael did on his because I slept like a baby. Around 6 in the morning the fog rolled in and we couldn't see 2 feet in front of us and this is where we have to go into the Cheaspeake with all the barges, Coast Guard cutters and huge ships. Fog finally cleared and we stopped into Portsmouth, VA for fuel and Skipper walk at 11:30 AM. Arrived at the Great Bridge Lock and tied to the wall. since we won't be near anything tomorrow Michael took me to dinner. We first stopped at Chili's for a beer and chips, did a little shopping and had a great dinner at the Koi Habachi Restaurant. It was fantastic...and we now have dinner for tomorrow.
How wonderful to see a picture of the ever cute Skipper! Have a safe trip down the coast.
